BIRDIE GUIDE PART 1– COUPONS
In our series, titled “BIRDIE GUIDE'' we will be presenting you with the most useful functions of the Birdie taxi-ordering application. Let’s begin by taking a look at one of the most important one: what you need to know about the gift coupon.
It is important to note that before you use your coupons, you have to register your bankcard in the application. This is not only necessary to redeem your discount, but also ensures touch-free payment.
Where can you find your coupons?
In the app, open the hamburger menu to the left (three parallel horizontal lines), choose the menu point titled Vouchers, and there you are.
How can you use your coupons?
1. At the end of the taxi ordering process, choose “Use a Voucher” on the payment screen by ticking the little square by the text.
2. The app will automatically choose the coupon with the earliest date, because you can always use only one coupon per order.
3. If you want to change the coupon you are using, then open the little triangle by the text that says “Pay” and choose another coupon from among the payment settings.
4. Press the “Order” button and that’s it, your car will arrive soon.
BIRDIE GUIDE PART 2 – RIDE FEE SHARING
You’re going to love this, because it can save you a lot of money when you are traveling with others.
How does it work?
Until the end of your trip, you do exactly as you do when you're traveling alone: order, ride, and pay with your bankcard.
After:
Go to the “Previous rides” menu point, choose your current ride, and press the “Share ride fee” button.
You can enter the phone numbers of the people traveling with you here so the Birdie app can send them a payment request.
If they have accepted the payment request, the system will divide the ride fee into equal parts, so everyone can pay their share of the travel fee.
What to pay attention to?
-The ride fee can only be shared with people who also have bank cards registered in their Birdie account.
-You can share the ride fee with a maximum of 3 people, that is, a total of 4 people.
-The ride fee may only be paid in the 1 hour after the completion of the ride.
-After initiating the sharing of the ride fee, the rest of the passengers have 1 hour to accept the request. If someone does not react within 1 hour, then the system takes that as a rejection of the request.
BIRDIE GUIDE PART 3 – BANKCARD REGISTRATION
After downloading the app, during the registration process you can add a bankcard to your account. Birdie uses the SimplePay system, which charges 100 Ft when you add your card in order to check whether it functions. Once this is successful, the charge is deleted, so the sum will not be deducted from your account.
Add more cards
Naturally, you can add new bank cards and modify the existing ones at any time by choosing the “Finances'' menu point in the hamburger menu. you can save a maximum of 3 different bank cards in the Birdie app at once.
It is important to note that you can set one as you default to use automatically upon payment. You can also change the card you use for each order.
Edit data and enter billing address
You can edit the data of your registered bank cards in the “Finance” menu point and you can assign names to you cards. You can also set the billing addresses for your different cards, which is very useful if, for example, you are paying with a company bank card. Take care to save your changes in every case by clicking the “Save” button.
Taking into account the current pandemic situation, we request that everyone who can please use the touch-free payment option, that is, using your bank via the app.
!! Gift coupons and vouchers can only be redeemed when paying with a registered bankcard !!
BIRDIE GUIDE PART 4 – DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITH YOUR DRIVER
Do you want to specify where to meet up? Can’t find your driver or your driver can’t find you? There can be many situations in which you want to be able to reach your driver. This is no problem with the Birdie app!
How can I communicate with my driver?
Nothing could be simpler. After your order, you will find several “action” functions on your phone’s screen, use these, such as the “Call” or the “Message your driver” button to make a phone call or chat with them. Choose the one that’s most convenient for you, but keep in mind that the driver cannot text while driving.
If you forgot something in the car, don’t worry, just go to the “Previous rides” menu point, click on the applicable ride where you can contact your driver for 24 hours following your trip to communicate with them directly on what to do.
BIRDIE GUIDE PART 5 – PET-FRIENDLY TAXI SERVICE
Birdie gets along well with other animals.
We know that pets are more than just animals, they’re family! With Birdie, you can request a pet-friendly ride so your dog, cat, rabbit, or even hamster can travel with you to wherever you’re going.
How can I request a pet-friendly car?
When placing your order, after entering the target address, you can choose the type of car. Choose the “Traveling with pet” option and we will send you a car in which your pet is always welcome.
But that’s not all! You can also choose normal, stationwagon, or XL-sized cars, or request car seats for children.
